Michael joined Caruso & Company in 1996, and soon became partner alongside Robert Caruso, to form CarusoThompson, LLP.  As an experienced CPA, Michael has over 30 years years in Public Accounting providing business and indiviual clients with personalized service and insight to help naviage all tax and accounting needs.

As managing partner, Michael has set the overall guidance on how the company conducts its business and how it maintains its client relationships.

Michael graduated from Montclair State college with a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting. He earned his Master of Science in Taxation from Seton Hall University.  He is also Certified Public Accountant.

Eric joined our firm in 2000, and became a partner in 2016. An experienced CPA. Eric has worked in the accounting industry for over 20 years advising small businesses, personal and business tax preparation, financial statement preparation, financial technology planning and general tax planning.

Eric graduated from Kean University with a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting. He is a Certified Public Accountant, a Certified Information Technology Professional, a Chartered Global Management Accountant and a Public-School Accountant.

Grace joined our firm in 2003. As a CPA, Grace has extensive working experience in small businesses, personal and business taxation, financial statement review and compilations and Non-profit tax preparation

Grace graduated from Rutgers Business School with a Bachelor of Science degree in finance and a Master degree in Accounting from Farleigh Dickenson University.  She is also a Certified Public Accountant.

Kim joined our firm in 2007. As a CPA, Kim's broad base of responsibilities include financial statement preparation, including compilations and reviews, small business advisory, business and individual tax preparation and an extensive knowledge of QuickBooks.

Kim graduated from Kean University with a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting.  She is also a Certified Public Accountant.

Mary Lou joined our firm in 1998 bringing with her over 15 years of accounting, supervisory and managerial experience.  In addition to client work, she is repsonsible for much of the adminstrative duties here at Caruso Thompson.

Mary Lou graduated from Bloomfield College with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and a minor in Business Administration.  She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mathamatics and and MBA from Georgian Court University.  She is also a CPA.

Alex joined our firm in 2002 after 10 years in corporate accounting and financial consulting. With over 30 years of experience in the accounting industry, her responsibilities include providing monthly and quarterly accounting and year-end tax services including tax planning services; individual, business, and estate tax returns preparation; and compilations of financial statements for a diversity of clients.

Alex earned her Bachelor's degree in Accounting at Saint Elizabeth University.

Heather joined our firm in 2014. Her vast experience ranges from small business advisory to preparation of individual and business Federal and State returns.  She also has an extensive knowledge in “Not-For- Profit” organizations & the preparation of financial statements (compilation and reviews).

Heather graduated from St. John’s University with a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting.

Margaret joined our firm in 2005. As a mid-level specialist with over 35 years of accounting experience, Margaret has extensive working experience in personal tax preparation and review. She also specializes in client payroll reporting and is the main person of contact in working with various tax agencies.

Kristen joined our firm in 2019 bringing years of experience in bookeeping and client relationships.

Her main responsibilities include accounting services for various bookkeeping clients, assisting staff with monthly and quarterly write-ups, payroll tax reports and individual tax return preparation

Rick joined our firm in 2020 with over 20 years of experience in corporate accounting and financial accounting.

Rick has a diversified business experience across a number of industries with much of his concentration in the financial services industry. His responsibilities include providing services in accounting and tax to businesses and individuals.

Rick earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and his Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics at Rutgers University.

Mike joined our firm in July of 2020. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and a Certified Undergraduate Study in Forensic Accounting from Rowan University, Rohrer College of Business.

As a junior accountant, Mike will concentrate on personal tax preparation, client payroll preparation and business write ups.

Pamela joined the firm in Decemer of 2022.  She has an AA in General Business from RVCC and is currently working on an accounting bachelor’s degree at Kean University, she has years of working experience in an accounting office in Somerville.

She also volunteered for several years at Angels for Action, a nonprofit focused on helping immigrants adjust to their new life in America. At the same time, she volunteered in New York City for Human Rights First, in which she accompanied attorneys to immigration jails and served as a translator for clients who did not speak English. Pamela is also the bookkeeper for a church and a nonprofit in New Brunswick, NJ

Gina joined our firm in 2009. Gina’s responsibilities include reception, document preparation and computer input. She provides administrative support in a variety of capacities. She has knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, and billing programs. She helps to maintain an electronic and hard copy filing system.
